Selexyz Donner, a large bookstore in Rotterdam, held a drawing contest for a mascotte for their comics/manga department. It was organised as part of a new manga and anime convention that they sponsor.

So I sent in the drawing that I posted above.

I didn't win. But I got up to the final the final 10 nominated entries. So that's pretty cool.

I didn't post anything last week, although I did make something for the blog.

Tehnically the harry potter drawing should be numbered as number 2 as I made that one last week but got caught up with painting the background and didn't want to post it without finishing it.

I probably won't be able to finish that background in the upcoming weeks. so I'll just throw this one up until then.

The Chun Li drawing I made this week. I'll probably be doing a couple more street figter characters eventually.

Upcoming weeks are going to be quite busy with schoolwork,. So I'll probably won't be able to draw a whole lot for myself. I'll probably just put up some sketches.

Fresh start, first post

Ok, so my new years resolution is to actually draw more and not neglect this blog. There's no point in having a blog and then not using it, right?

I'll try to put up something at least once a week. Could be a doodle, a colored illustration or just something I'm working on at the moment.

I'll number the drawings that are made especially for this blog. So that at the end of this year we'll be able to see how much time I actually spent on making something for this blog and for fun, Instead of just dumping sketches and things on here that I had lying around anyway.
